Smells like Me
Corn sister
reaches for the sun
With purpose
A scafolding, sturdy and strong
Bean sister
winds upward
Feeling out and protecting
And at turns being protected
Squash sister
content to the low places
Shades the ground
Protects the roots
Sisters all
Shifting forms
None is all
All different
All the same
More than trinity
Multiplicity is divine
The fourth sister was a dancer
In the garden
Heart on her sleeve
She brought the rain
She opens gates
What is sunny
Sometimes needs shade
Broad leaves peek out of the canopy
low finds the sun
Roots in the dirt
Respecting, loving, and cooporating
They make their way
Upward, crawling, and twisting round
All with purpose
All with love
All is separate
All twined
The lessons learned
In sound
A longing for dirt beneath the nails
A longing for laughter fills the heart
A village
A gate
A path home
Love this! Especially the wolf imagery and 3 sisters poem.
